Salute, co-hosted by Austin °¼Í¹ÊÓƵ and Austin Partners in Education, recognizes some of A°¼Í¹ÊÓƵ's outstanding team members and volunteers for their continued dedication to student excellence and achievement in A°¼Í¹ÊÓƵ schools.
What: This year, A°¼Í¹ÊÓƵ will recognize the teachers of the year, classified staff of the year, PTA of the year, principal of the year, librarian of the year, counselor of the year and assistant principal of the year. In addition, Teachers of Promise will be honored. The event also includes student performances and a reception.
The PAC holds 1,200 attendees. Family and friends are asked to arrive early to find seating in the general admission area.
Appetizers and drinks will be served in the reception, but patrons are asked not to bring any food or drink into the main auditorium.
When: Reception at 5 p.m., A°¼Í¹ÊÓƵ student musicians perform from 5–6 p.m., followed by a ceremony from 6:30–8 p.m. Thursday, May 17
Where: Austin °¼Í¹ÊÓƵ Performing Arts Center, 1500 Barbara Jordan Blvd.
There will be additional parking at Promiseland Church, 1504 E. 51st St. A°¼Í¹ÊÓƵ Police Department will be directing traffic. Those who park at Promiseland should cross 51st Street at the crosswalk.
