Modernization Construction to Start Summer 2019
Murchison Middle School will be receiving the first phase of a full modernization beginning in Summer 2019. To kick off the process, the school will be hosting a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the milestone.

What: A°¼Í¹ÊÓƵ is holding a groundbreaking ceremony for Murchison Middle School with remarks from Murchison Principal Newton, A°¼Í¹ÊÓƵ Trustee Kristin Ashy, and A°¼Í¹ÊÓƵ Superintendent Paul Cruz. Student representatives will introduce the team and read poems dedicated to Murchison.

Where: Murchison Middle School, 3700 North Hills Dr, Austin, TX 78731
Lot and street parking will be available. The event will take place in the courtyard near the tennis courts.
Background: Murchison Middle School is one of the campuses receiving a full or partial modernization as part of the 2017 A°¼Í¹ÊÓƵ Bond Program. The school will undergo Phase 1 of a full modernization, including a 6th-grade addition, library and administration relocation, annex roofing, and bus loop addition.
