The Austin °¼Í¹ÊÓƵ community will be coming together Saturday to help build picnic tables to support outdoor lunches and learning.
Students are at lower risk of COVID-19 transmission when they eat or learn outside, so Austin °¼Í¹ÊÓƵ organized the event for community members to help build tables for campuses to use as outdoor lunch or learning spaces.
Austin °¼Í¹ÊÓƵ is expecting about 30 volunteers who will work in an assembly line to create the tables. Tables will be prioritized for campuses in areas with the highest COVID-19 rates in the city.
Masks will be required at this event.
